Lulu says to Max
I haven’t forgotten.
See you tomorrow.

Lulu and her mum go back upstairs to their flat. Lulu’s mum hugs her.

Lulu’s mum says
I am proud of you Lulu. You’re brave and kind.

Lulu says
I’m not brave. I’m lonely without Puppy.
Lulu’s mum says
You’ll see Puppy tomorrow and every day after that.
You’ll be so proud of her when you take her for walks.

Lulu asks
Are you proud of me when people stare at me in the street?
Lulu’s mum answers
Of course I am!
